Protocols of the Elders of Zion

I had already heard about the infamous Protocols of the Elders of Zion, but I had no clue what the text actually contained. The Protocols were so incredibly antisemitic and the context surrounding the text explains many events leading up to World War II. The Russian pogroms arose as a result of this text and Hitler took inspiration from this text for the writing of Mein Kampf.

The actual messages within this text did not make very much sense to me. It’s like people just blamed everything negative that ever happened as a result of the Jew’s actions with very little justification. For some reason the author, or authors, believed there was just a council of high and mighty Jewish elders plotting the end of the world so that they may return the holy land. It just does not make sense to me why people would even believe this. The people who acted upon their antisemitic thoughts as a result of this text have baby brains that lack critical thinking skills.

In my opinion, this text is definitely a forbidden text due to the dangers of misinformation, especially in the current social environment. Antisemitic thought is still prevalent in society today and the mass exposure of this text may only exacerbate hate crimes against the Jewish people.

I did not enjoy reading this text because it was very long and I may have procrastinated with reading it, but the text did not seem to bring any thought behind their points. The author was just so entranced in their views that any counterargument with their points would be for naught.
